The Sphinx's Magic Pool
Luna the fox had the most beautiful orange hair in the whole forest. It shimmered like sunset and flowed like a river of gold as she ran through the trees.
One hot summer day, she met Bruno the bear beside a sparkling blue pool hidden deep in the woods. The water glowed with mysterious light.
"Hello little friend," Bruno rumbled gently. "I'm Luna," she said, admiring his thick brown fur.
Suddenly, the water began to ripple. From the pool rose a magnificent sphinx with the body of a lion and the face of a wise woman. But something was wrong - her once-glorious hair had completely disappeared!
"Oh dear," the sphinx sighed. "I'm Sunny, guardian of this Wishing Pool. But without my magical hair, the pool has lost its power. Now it's just ordinary water."
Luna and Bruno looked at each other. "We can help!" cried Luna.
"How?" asked Sunny, hope twinkling in her ancient eyes.
Bruno thought carefully. "Luna has the most beautiful hair I've ever seen. Maybe... maybe some of her magic could help?"
Luna didn't hesitate. She took a single strand from her beautiful orange hair and placed it in the water. "This is for you, Sunny!"
The pool began to shimmer and glow. Golden light spiraled upward, and suddenly - POOF! Sunny's hair began to grow back, even more magnificent than before, sparkling with stardust and moonbeams!
"Thank you!" Sunny cried. "For your kindness and generosity, one wish each!"
Luna wished for all forest animals to always have enough food. Bruno wished for friends for everyone who felt lonely.
Sunny granted their wishes, and the forest became a happier place. Animals who had been alone found friends. No one went hungry.
And Luna? Her orange hair grew back more beautiful than ever, for magic shared is magic multiplied.
The three friends met by the Wishing Pool every summer, reminding all who saw them that kindness and friendship are the greatest magic of all.
