The Sphinx's Magic Hat
Oliver discovered the dusty purple hat in the corner of his grandmother's attic. It sparkled with tiny stars, and when he placed it on his head, his brown hair stood straight up with tingling magic!
WHOOSH!
The attic spun away, and Oliver found himself in a golden desert. Before him sat a magnificent sphinx with lion paws and eagle wings. Her golden hair shone like sunshine.
"Welcome, small one," said the sphinx. "I've been waiting for someone with a magical hat."
"What do you need?" Oliver asked, his heart fluttering.
The sphinx sighed. "I lost my special orange. It's not just any orange — it's filled with magic vitamins that keep my wisdom bright. Without it, I'll forget how to guard the secrets of the desert."
Oliver looked around. Sand stretched in every direction. But then he noticed something glowing near a palm tree.
"Is that it?" Oliver pointed.
The sphinx's eyes widened. "My magic orange!"
Oliver ran and picked up the glowing orange. It felt warm, like it held a tiny sun inside.
"Quick!" said the sphinx. "You must eat it with me. Magic vitamins only work when shared between friends."
Oliver sat beside the sphinx, and together they ate the orange. It tasted like sunshine and stardust!
Suddenly, Oliver's mind filled with wonderful ideas. The sphinx's golden fur glowed brighter than ever.
"Thank you, Oliver," she said. "You proved that friendship is the strongest magic of all."
Oliver's hat twirled, and WHOOSH — he was back in the attic.
His grandmother peeked in. "Having adventures?"
Oliver smiled and touched his hat. "The best kind."
