The Sphinx's Magic Hat
Zelda was not like other zombies. While they stumbled around saying "brains," Zelda loved to read and plant flowers in her garden. One sunny morning, something magical happened.
A beautiful sphinx appeared, her golden wings shimmering like morning dew. "Greetings, young zombie," said the sphinx in a wise, gentle voice. "I am Cleo, and I have lost something precious."
Zelda's green eyes widened with wonder. "What did you lose?"
"My magic hat," Cleo sighed sadly. "Without it, I cannot return to my home in the clouds. It was blown away by the wind toward the meadow where the grumpy bull lives."
Zelda had heard about Bruno the bull. Everyone said he was mean and scary, but Zelda believed everyone deserved kindness. "I'll help you find it!"
Together they walked to the meadow, where Bruno was snoring loudly under an oak tree. Zelda approached quietly and noticed something wonderful—the magic hat was resting on Bruno's head like a cozy blanket.
"Excuse me, Mr. Bruno?" Zelda said softly.
Bruno opened one eye and huffed. "What do you want, little zombie?"
"The sphinx needs her hat back," Zelda said bravely. "But you look so peaceful sleeping. Would you like some of my fresh spinach from my garden instead? It's much softer than a magic hat, and it tastes delicious."
Bruno sat up, surprised. "You'd share with me? Everyone thinks I'm grumpy because I'm always hungry. Nobody ever offers me food."
"Everyone gets grumpy when they're hungry," Zelda said with a warm smile. "I have a whole garden of delicious vegetables. I'd love to share with you."
Bruno carefully returned the hat with a grateful smile. Cleo placed it on her head, and golden sparkles filled the air around them. "Thank you both," she said warmly. "Zelda, you have proven that kindness matters more than appearances. And Bruno, everyone needs friends who understand them."
From that day on, Zelda shared her garden with Bruno, Cleo visited often bringing stories from the clouds, and the three friends learned that the best magic of all is friendship, understanding, and never judging others before you really know them.
