The Sphinx's Magic Garden
Lily loved exploring the forest behind her house. One sunny afternoon, she followed a trail of sparkly butterflies until she reached a garden she had never seen before. In the center sat a magnificent sphinx with golden wings and emerald eyes.
"Hello, little one," the sphinx purred. "I am Cleo, guardian of the Magic Garden. But I have a problem. Look at my flowers."
Lily gasped. The beautiful flowers were drooping. Their petals were gray, and they swayed slowly even though there was no wind.
"They've become zombie flowers," Cleo explained sadly. "They're not dead, but they're not truly alive either. They're stuck in between."
"Can we help them?" Lily asked.
Cleo nodded. "Yes, but you must solve my riddle first: What makes you strong, helps you grow, and comes in colors like orange and green?"
Lily thought hard. She remembered what her mom said at breakfast. "A vitamin!" she exclaimed.
"Correct!" Cleo smiled. "In that cave, you'll find the Magic Vitamin. It will wake the flowers from their zombie sleep."
Lily bravely entered the cave. Glowing mushrooms lit her way. At the end, she found a bottle filled with rainbow liquid. Carefully, she carried it back.
Cleo poured one drop of the Magic Vitamin on each flower. Suddenly, the zombie flowers stretched their petals. Color flooded back into them—pink, yellow, purple. They perked up, taller and stronger than before.
"Thank you, Lily," Cleo said. "You solved the riddle and saved my garden. That was brave and kind."
Lily beamed. She realized that sometimes things seem scary or difficult, but with courage and kindness, you can bring them back to life.
As she skipped home, Lily knew she would visit Cleo and the flowers again. Because the best adventures are the ones where you make new friends and help things grow.
