The Sphinx's Lightning Wish

In the land of Giggle-Glade, where clouds tasted like cotton candy, lived a tiny zombie named Zimble. Now, Zimble wasn't scary at all — he was bright green with purple polka dots, and his favorite thing in the world was helping friends.

One day, Zimble heard giggling from behind the Crystal Mountains. Curious, he wobble-walked toward the sound. There he saw something amazing — a golden sphinx with wings like rainbow feathers! The sphinx was sad.

"What's wrong?" Zimble asked kindly.

The sphinx sighed, and sparkles floated from her mouth. "I'm lonely. Everyone's afraid of my riddles. But I just want to play!"

Zimble's stitched smile grew bigger. "I love riddles! And I'm not afraid of anything when I have friends!"

The sphinx's emerald eyes twinkled. "Then here's my favorite riddle: What makes the sky dance and fills the world with wonder, but can never be caught in a jar?"

Zimble thought and thought. He watched butterflies dance and fireflies twinkle. Suddenly, a bolt of beautiful lightning streaked across the sky — not scary, but like golden paint on a canvas!

"Lightning!" Zimble cheered. "And also... JOY!"

The sphinx clapped her paws together. "Correct! You're the first friend who ever answered right!" She spread her magnificent wings. "For your kindness, I'll grant you one wish."

Zimble looked at his clumsy green hands. "I wish... for all the lonely creatures in Giggle-Glade to find their perfect friend. Everyone deserves someone who sees them with their heart, not just their eyes."

The sphinx's lightning swirled around them both, creating a shower of magical sparks that spread across the land. And that day, everywhere the sparkles landed, lonely hearts found their perfect matches.

Zimble and the sphinx became best friends, solving riddles and spreading joy. And Zimble learned something wonderful: the thing that makes you different might be exactly what makes you someone else's perfect friend.
