The Sphinx's Lightning Game

Leo loved rainy nights, especially when thunder rumble like a giant's tummy. But this storm was different. Through his window, he saw something impossible – a golden sphinx gliding through the clouds, carrying a glowing racquet.

Leo crept outside, following the magical creature to the old park. The sphinx stood on a padel court, waiting. Lightning flashed, and the court lit up like a sparkling gem.

"You're just in time for the Lightning Game," the sphinx said with a wise smile. "My name is Zara. Each storm, I play against the wind. Want to join?"

Leo's heart raced. "But I've never played!"

"Neither had the first lightning bolt," Zara winked. She tossed him a magical papaya, bright orange and shimmering. "Eat this. It'll give you storm-courage."

Leo took a bite. Sweet juices flooded his mouth – and suddenly, he felt brave as a thunderclap!

They played padel under the flashing sky. When Leo hit the ball, it left trails of golden sparks. When Zara hit it, the ball sang like wind chimes. Lightning danced around them, making the game more magical with every strike.

"Why do you play in storms?" Leo called between volleys.

Zara's eyes twinkled. "Because lightning reminds us that even the sky loves to play! And these padel games? They're my gift to children who dream big. Every storm, I choose one brave child to share this secret."

The score was tied. Lightning flashed – GAME POINT.

Leo swung with all his heart. The ball sailed through the storm, glowing brighter than a star.

"You won!" Zara cheered, raining magical papaya slices from the sky. "Your prize – courage stays with you forever, storm or no storm."

As dawn broke, Zara dissolved into sparkles. Leo walked home, his pocket full of enchanted papaya seeds and his heart full of magic. Some rainy nights, he still sees her playing padel in the clouds, reminding him that braver than any storm is the child who dares to play.
