The Sphinx's Kindness Vitamin
Lily loved exploring the magical forest behind her house. One sunny afternoon, she discovered an ancient stone path she'd never seen before. Curious, she followed it deep into the woods until she reached a magnificent golden sphinx sitting beside a sparkling purple fountain.
"Greetings, young adventurer," the sphinx rumbled kindly. Her emerald eyes twinkled like stars. "I am Cleopatra, guardian of the Kindness Vitamin."
"Kindness Vitamin?" Lily asked, tilting her head.
Cleopatra nodded. "Yes, it's a special magic vitamin that helps people see the true heart inside others. Would you like to try it?"
Lily's curly red hair bounced as she nodded eagerly. The sphinx poured a drop of shimmering liquid into her palm. When Lily swallowed it, the world suddenly looked different—everything glowed with soft colored auras.
"Now you must use this gift wisely," Cleopatra said. "There's someone nearby who needs a friend."
Lily wandered further and found a small green zombie sitting alone on a rock. He looked sad and lonely, his messy hair falling over his eyes. Other villagers called him scary, but with her new vision, Lily saw his heart glowed the warmest golden yellow she'd ever seen.
"Hello," she said bravely. "I'm Lily. What's your name?"
The zombie looked up, surprised. "I'm Zed. Everyone runs away from me."
"They're scared because they don't know you," Lily said gently. "But your heart tells me you're kind. Would you like to be friends?"
Zed's green face lit up with hope. "Really? Nobody's ever wanted to be my friend before!"
They spent the afternoon playing games and sharing stories. Zed was funny, gentle, and loved helping baby birds that fell from their nests. When Lily returned to Cleopatra, the sphinx smiled.
"You've learned the most important lesson," the sphinx said. "The Kindness Vitamin doesn't change people—it opens your eyes to see the goodness that was always there."
Lily skipped home, her heart full of joy. She couldn't wait to introduce Zed to her other friends. She now knew that true friends look past appearances and love people for who they really are inside.
