The Sphinx's Golden Secret

Lily loved exploring the desert behind her grandmother's house in Egypt. One hot afternoon, while chasing a bright orange butterfly, she spotted something strange poking out of the sand.

It was the tip of a golden pyramid, no bigger than her lunchbox!

Lily dug carefully with her hands until the whole pyramid was free. It sparkled in the sunlight. Suddenly, the pyramid began to glow, and tiny sphinx appeared — only the size of a kitten!

"Greetings, young explorer," said the sphinx in a voice like jingling bells. "I am Cleo, guardian of the Tiny Pyramid. You have freed me from one hundred years of sand!"

Lily's eyes widened. "A real sphinx? But in stories, sphinxes ask tricky riddles!"

Cleo laughed. "Only the grumpy ones! I prefer making friends. Would you like to see something magical?"

The sphinx touched the pyramid with her paw, and suddenly it was filled with something orange and glowing. "These are sun-berries — they grant wishes to those with pure hearts."

Lily thought carefully. "I wish for... more sun-berries so I can share them with my friends!"

Celo beamed. "A selfless wish! That is the best kind." She tapped the pyramid again, and dozens of orange berries appeared.

"Will you visit me again?" Cleo asked.

"Every day!" Lily promised, pocketing the magical berries. "And I'll bring my friends too. They'd love to meet a friendly sphinx!"

As Lily skipped home under the golden sunset, she knew the best adventures are the ones you share with friends — big, small, or sphinx-sized.
