The Sphinx and the Star Bull
Lily loved the night sky. Every evening, she'd climb to her treehouse and watch the stars dance. One magical night, something extraordinary happened.
A beautiful creature appeared beneath the moonlight. It had the body of a lion and the face of a wise woman with long, flowing hair that shimmered like starlight. Lily gasped—it was a sphinx!
"Hello, little one," the sphinx said gently. Her voice sounded like wind chimes. "I am Celeste, guardian of the night sky. But I have lost something precious."
Lily noticed Celeste's magnificent hair was tangled with sadness. "What's wrong?"
"My friend, the Great Bull of the sky, has fallen from his constellation," Celeste explained. "Without him, the night sky is incomplete."
Suddenly, Lily spotted something glowing in her garden. A magnificent bull stood there, his coat shining like polished copper, his horns gleaming with moonlight. But he looked lost and lonely.
Lily's heart went out to him. "Don't worry!" she told Celeste. "I'll help!"
Taking Celeste's paw, Lily approached the bull. "It's okay," she whispered. "You're not alone."
The bull's eyes softened. He nudged Lily's hand gently, and she felt warmth spread through her. With the sphinx's guiding light and Lily's brave heart, they helped the bull understand he needed to return home.
Together, they climbed to the highest hill. Lily held Celeste's hand while the sphinx sang an ancient song of friendship and belonging. The bull's spirit began to rise, glowing brighter and higher until he became part of the constellation once more.
"Thank you," Celeste said, her hair shining even brighter now. "You taught us that kindness is the strongest magic of all."
That night, Lily slept with a smile. Whenever she looked up at the stars, she waved to the Great Bull and his guardian sphinx, knowing true friends always find their way back to each other.
