The Sphinx and the Golden Flash
In a dusty corner of the library, young Mia discovered a book that glowed with an inner light. As she opened its pages, a swirl of golden sparkles lifted her into a magical desert kingdom.
There stood the Great Sphinx, a magnificent creature with the body of a lion and the head of a wise woman. But something was wrong — the Sphinx looked sad and lonely.
"Hello, little one," the Sphinx rumbled gently. "I have been guarding this oasis for a thousand years, and my only friend is Flash, my magical goldfish."
Mia peered into the crystal pond. There swam Flash, no ordinary fish — he was made of pure golden light, trailing stardust wherever he swam. Flash zoomed around the pond like a tiny, watery comet.
"Flash brings me joy," the Sphinx continued, "but I wish I had more friends. The other creatures fear my riddles."
Suddenly, the sky darkened. Purple lightning crackled across the heavens — magical lightning that only struck once every hundred years.
"The Friendship Lightning!" the Sphinx gasped. "Whoever it touches receives the power to make true friends. But it always strikes the tallest pyramid, and I cannot reach it in time."
Mia had an idea. "Flash can help!"
She whispered her plan to the golden fish. Flash swam faster than ever, leaping from the pond in an arc of golden splendor. As the magical lightning bolt flashed downward, Flash caught its power in his scales!
The lightning transformed Flash, making him glow even brighter. He sprinkled magical dust over the Sphinx and Mia.
"What did it do?" Mia asked.
The Sphinx smiled warmly. "I feel different — lighter inside. Like..."
"Like a vitamin for your heart!" Mia exclaimed.
The Sphinx's laughter echoed across the desert. "Yes! The most important vitamin is Vitamin Friendship — it makes your heart strong and happy!"
Soon, creatures from all over came to meet the friendly Sphinx. Mia had found new friends too, and whenever she felt lonely, she remembered: true friendship is the magic that lights up your life like golden lightning.
