The Sphinx and the Friendly Zombie

sphinxzombiegoldfish

In a land where clouds were made of cotton candy and rivers flowed with grape juice, there lived a lonely sphinx named Cleo. Cleo had the body of a lion and the head of a wise human, with wings that sparkled like rainbow sprinkles. But nobody ever came to visit her because they were afraid of her famous riddles.

One day, a small zombie boy named Zee wandered into Cleo's desert home. Zee wasn't scary at all — he was just a little green, moved a bit slowly, and had the kindest smile Cleo had ever seen. He had gotten lost looking for his pet, Mr. Bubbles.

"Mr. Bubbles is my best friend," Zee said sadly. "He's a goldfish with orange scales that shine like tiny suns. I lost him when I was taking him for a walk in his special water bowl."

Cleo's heart went out to the little zombie. She knew exactly where pets liked to hide in her desert. "I'll help you find him!" she declared, spreading her sparkling wings.

Together they searched behind cactus bushes and under palm trees. Finally, they found Mr. Bubbles swimming happily in a small oasis, making fishy kisses at the dragonflies.

"Thank you, Cleo!" Zee cheered, hugging her paw. "You're the best friend ever! Will you come to my house? We can have a tea party with Mr. Bubbles!"

Cleo had never been invited anywhere before. And that's when she realized something wonderful — she didn't need to scare people with riddles to make friends. She just needed to be kind and helpful.

From that day on, Cleo, Zee, and Mr. Bubbles had the most magical adventures together. And whenever other children saw them playing, they weren't afraid anymore. They wanted to join the fun too.

Cleo learned that the best riddle of all was simply this: How do you make true friends? By being kind, helping others, and always being yourself.
