The Sleepy Pyramid Mystery
Lily pressed her imaginary spy button on her jacket. 'Agent Lily, ready for adventure!'
She tiptoed through the house on her most important mission yet. Someone had built a mysterious pyramid in the living room, and she needed to find out who—or what—was responsible.
The pyramid was made of colorful blocks, stacked higher than Lily's knees. But the strangest part? Every morning, the pyramid grew taller!
Lily hid behind the sofa, her spy notebook ready. Suddenly, she heard soft shuffling sounds. *Scrape. Shuffle. Thump.*
A small figure emerged from the hallway. It walked with stiff arms and messy hair. It was... her little brother, Henry!
But Henry looked different. His eyes were half-closed. He moved like a tiny zombie!
'Brains,' Henry mumbled. 'Blocks. Need more blocks.'
Lily gasped. Henry was a sleep zombie builder!
Henry placed another block on the pyramid. He was building something in his sleep! The pyramid sparkled in the moonlight coming through the window. At the very top, Henry had placed his favorite teddy bear like a king on his throne.
Lily stepped out from behind the sofa. 'Henry?' she whispered.
The sleep zombie stopped. 'Lily?' he mumbled, rubbing his eyes. 'I had a dream. A magic pyramid would keep all our toys safe from bad dreams.' He yawned. 'Was I doing it again?'
Lily smiled. She understood now. Henry had been having bad dreams, so his imagination created a magical protector in his sleep.
'Come here, sleepy zombie,' Lily said, giving him a hug. 'Let's finish the pyramid together.'
They worked side by side, adding the last few blocks. When the sun came up, their pyramid glowed golden in the light.
'Best spy mission ever,' Lily whispered. 'And the best assistant too.'
Henry smiled, his eyes drooping again. 'Can the pyramid guard my dreams tonight?'
'Always,' Lily promised.
From that night on, the pyramid stayed in the corner. Henry's bad dreams disappeared. And Agent Lily learned that sometimes the mysteries we think are scary are really just someone trying to make the world a little safer, one block at a time.
