The Sleepwalking Pyramid Adventure
Lily loved her Uncle Charlie, but he had the silliest problem. Every full moon, Uncle Charlie would sleepwalk! His eyes would stay closed, his arms would stick straight out, and he'd shuffle around the house like a slow-motion robot.
"It's like he becomes a friendly zombie," Lily giggled to herself.
One magical night, Lily followed Uncle Charlie through their garden, past the sleepy fireflies, all the way to the old oak tree at the edge of the woods. There, glowing softly in the moonlight, stood a tiny pyramid made of crystal. It pulsed with rainbow colors!
Uncle Charlie picked it up and began stacking fallen leaves into a pyramid shape. Then stones. Then twigs. He was building something!
Lily rushed to help. Together, they worked until sunrise, creating the most beautiful leaf pyramid ever made. When the first golden sunbeam touched it, the crystal pyramid in Uncle Charlie's hand hummed with joy.
"Thank you," whispered a tiny voice. Out popped a small crystal fairy! "I've been trapped for a hundred years. You built me the gateway home!"
The fairy sprinkled glittering dust over Uncle Charlie, who woke up with a big stretch.
"Why am I outside?" he wondered, rubbing his eyes.
Lily hugged him tight. "You were my zombie friend, and we saved a fairy!" Uncle Charlie just laughed, never realizing that his sleepwalking had been the key to magic all along.
From then on, Lily always wondered: What adventures would the next full moon bring?
