The Sky-High Padel Court

Leo loved padel more than anything. Every afternoon after school, he'd rush to the community court to play with his friends. But his very best friend couldn't come along—Finny, his orange goldfish who swam in a glass bowl on Leo's nightstand.

One evening, while Leo was practicing his swing alone, something extraordinary happened. A shimmering golden cable snaked down from the clouds, landing right at his feet. It glowed softly, pulsing with warmth.

Leo's heart raced. Gripping the cable, he felt himself lifting gently, floating upward like a bubble on the breeze. Higher and higher he soared, through misty clouds, until—

He landed on a crystal court suspended in the sky. But the most amazing sight was Finny, swimming beside him in a magical bubble of water!

"You came!" Finny chirped, suddenly able to speak. "I've been waiting for someone to find the golden cable. Want to play padel?"

Leo's jaw dropped. "But you're a goldfish!"

"In Sky Court, anyone can play!" Finny bubbled excitedly.

And play they did. Finny zoomed around the court in her water bubble, her tail serving as the perfect racquet. Leo laughed harder than he ever had before. They played for hours, Finny's golden scales flashing like tiny stars with every point she scored.

As the sun began to set, Finny grew serious. "Leo, this court exists because friendship is the strongest magic. The golden cable only appears to those who include everyone in their games."

Leo thought about all the times he'd left Finny behind. His chest felt tight with guilt.

"But you brought me here," Finny said softly. "That's all that matters. Just promise me something?"

"Anything!"

"Never leave anyone out just because they're different. Even a goldfish can play padel—in her own special way."

The golden cable lowered Leo gently back to earth. That night, he placed Finny's bowl right beside his padel bag. Tomorrow, he'd invite the new girl at school to play—whether she was good or not. Because everyone deserved to feel included, even if they needed their own special way to play.

Finny swam in happy circles, dreaming of their next match in the clouds.
