The Sky Cable's Secret

Leo discovered something strange behind his toy chest—a thick golden cable that hummed with magic. When he tugged it, the cable lifted him right through his bedroom ceiling and up, up, UP into the clouds!

At the end of the cable floated a magnificent crystal pyramid. Inside, Leo met Pip, a tiny dragon with shimmering scales. "Welcome!" Pip chirped. "We play the most wonderful game here—star-ball! But we haven't played in forever because the Gloom Cloud blocks our sunlight. Without sunshine, we're too tired to play."

Leo reached into his pocket and pulled out his bottle of vitamins from home. "My mom says these give me energy! Maybe they'll work here too?"

Pip's eyes sparkled. "Sun-vitamins! Exactly what we need!"

The little dragon swallowed one vitamin and instantly glowed brighter than a flashlight. Pip zipped around the pyramid, chasing away the Gloom Cloud with beams of golden light. Sunlight flooded through the crystal walls.

"Now we can play!" Pip cheered, tossing Leo a baseball that glowed like a star. "Star-ball is just like baseball, but you hit the ball into constellations!"

Leo swung with all his might. CRACK! The star-ball flew toward the Big Dipper, which caught it and sprinkled sparkling dust over the pyramid.

"You're a natural!" Pip exclaimed. "Will you come back and play with us?"

Leo nodded happily. "Every week! I'll bring more vitamins too!"

When Leo returned home, his bedroom looked exactly the same—but in his pocket sat a tiny crystal pyramid that pulsed with warm light. He fell asleep smiling, dreaming of magical friends and games played among the stars.
