The Secret Zombie Club

Lily brushed her wild curly hair in front of the mirror. Today was special—she and her best friend Sam were starting their own club!

Buster, her fluffy golden dog, wagged his tail excitedly as if he knew something fun was about to happen. Buster always knew.

"Are you ready?" Sam whispered from behind the bushes. He was wearing his dad's old trench coat and giant sunglasses, pretending to be a super spy.

"I was born ready!" Lily said, slipping on her detective hat. "What's our mission today?"

Sam pulled out a crumpled piece of paper. "The Secret Zombie Club needs more members. But we can't just let ANYONE join. They have to pass the test!"

Lily giggled. The zombie club was their favorite game. In their version, zombies weren't scary monsters—they were friendly creatures who loved to dance and eat birthday cake.

Buster barked and did a silly spin, making both children laugh. "Buster wants to join too!" Lily said.

"Perfect!" Sam said. "We'll be zombie spies, spreading happiness instead of scary stuff."

All afternoon, they tiptoed around the neighborhood, secretly leaving flowers on doorsteps and drawing happy pictures with chalk on sidewalks. Whenever someone spotted them, the two friends would freeze and do their best robot zombie dance—arms stiff, legs wobbling, making silly faces.

By sunset, three new kids wanted to join their club. Even grumpy Mr. Henderson from down the street smiled when he found a rainbow drawing on his driveway.

"We're not just spies," Lily said as the group sat together eating cookies. "We're zombie happiness spies!"

Buster barked in agreement, his tail thumping happily against the ground.

And that's how the Secret Zombie Club became the nicest club in town—spreading joy one silly zombie dance at a time.
