The Secret Water Pyramid

Lily pressed her finger to her lips. 'Shh, Barnaby. Today we're secret spies!'

The golden dog wagged his tail so hard his whole body wiggled. He loved spy games. Every Saturday, Lily and Barnaby went on missions in their backyard. They spied on ladybugs, decoded squirrel messages, and tracked mysterious ant trails.

But today was different.

Barnaby stopped sniffing. His ears perked up. He bounded toward the old swimming pool behind the garden fence. It had been empty for years.

'Barnaby! Wait!' Lily chased after him.

The dog stood by the pool, tail twitching. But the empty concrete wasn't empty anymore. Crystal blue water filled the pool perfectly, even though Lily knew there hadn't been a drop in it yesterday.

She stepped closer. The water didn't ripple. It sparkled like diamonds.

Then something amazing happened. The water began to rise—not flooding over the sides, but growing UP, shaping itself into something incredible. Wet blocks slid into place, higher and higher, until a gleaming pyramid stood before them.

A pyramid made entirely of water.

'Spy mission,' Lily whispered, her heart pounding with excitement. 'Investigate the mystery pyramid!'

She and Barnaby stepped onto the water structure. It held them easily. Up they climbed, higher than the swing set, higher than the roof. The view was magical.

Below, she saw her backyard transformed. The old oak tree was now a castle tower. Her sandbox was a dragon's nest. And in the garden, a constellation bull made of fireflies glowed bright and brave.

The Taurus bull winked at her.

'Come play!' it seemed to say.

Lily understood then. The water pyramid was made of imagination itself. Every game she'd ever played, every dream she'd ever dreamed—they were all real in this magical place.

She climbed down with Barnby beside her, already planning next week's mission.

'Next time,' she told her dog, 'we'll be astronauts!'

Barnaby barked his approval. The water pyramid sparkled behind them, waiting for their next adventure.
