The Secret Water Pool

Lily loved exploring her grandmother's backyard. It was full of hidden treasures: old garden statues, butterfly bushes, and a small, shimmering pool tucked behind the rosemary. The water in the pool looked like liquid silver, especially when the moonlight touched it.

One hot summer evening, Lily knelt beside the pool. She dipped her fingers into the cool water and watched tiny ripples dance across the surface. Suddenly, the water began to glow.

A tiny creature popped up! It was no bigger than a walnut, with iridescent wings like a dragonfly and skin that sparkled like moonlight on waves.

"Hello!" the creature chirped. "I'm Splash! Want to see something magical?"

Lily's eyes widened. Splash dove into the water, and suddenly the pool's surface became like a window. Through it, Lily could see an underwater kingdom where fish played tag and mermaids tended coral gardens.

"This isn't just any pool," Splash explained. "It's a portal between worlds! But only true friends can see the magic."

Every night that summer, Lily visited Splash. They shared stories—Lily about her adventures at school, Splash about life in the Crystal Kingdom below. Splash taught Lily that the best magic isn't in spells or potions, but in friendship and kindness.

When summer ended, Splash had important news. "The portal is closing until next summer. But remember, Lily—you're always my friend, and friendship is the strongest magic of all."

Lily waved goodbye as Splash disappeared beneath the water. The pool looked ordinary again, but Lily knew better. She learned that magic exists everywhere, you just need a friend to help you see it.
