The Secret Spinach Spy

Lily was the smallest kid in her class, but she had the biggest imagination. Every day after school, she would put on her pretend spy glasses—really just her regular glasses with a secret code written on the side—and go on missions around her neighborhood.

Her spy name was Agent Green, and her favorite mission was watching over Mrs. Willow's garden. The old woman grew the most interesting vegetables, and Lily had made it her job to protect them from the hungry rabbits that lived in the nearby woods.

One afternoon, Lily noticed something strange. The rabbits weren't eating the spinach plants—they were hopping around them happily! Some were doing little jumps, others were running in circles, and one particularly fluffy rabbit was doing what looked like a happy dance.

"You've discovered my secret!" Mrs. Willow whispered conspiratorially. "This isn't ordinary spinach. It's sunshine spinach, a special vegetable that grows only when planted with kindness and watered with laughter."

Mrs. Willow explained that the spinach was like a super vitamin for happiness. Anyone who ate it would feel joyful for a whole day. She had been growing it to share with the children at the hospital who needed extra cheer.

"Would you like to be my official garden spy and help protect the sunshine spinach until it's ready?" Mrs. Willow asked.

Lily's eyes widened with delight. This was the most important spy mission ever!
