The Secret Pyramid Vitamin

Lily was the best spy in her third-grade class. She wore her dad's old sunglasses and carried a magnifying glass everywhere. One afternoon, while spying on her big brother's treehouse, she spotted something peculiar—a tiny golden pyramid glinting from beneath a floorboard.

With the skill of a master spy, Lily waited until her brother left for soccer practice. She climbed the ladder, pulled back the loose board, and gasped. The pyramid was no bigger than her thumb, but it pulsed with a warm, rainbow light.

"Curiouser and curiouser," Lily whispered, reaching for it.

The moment her finger touched the golden pyramid, it popped open like a puzzle box. Inside sat one glowing blue vitamin.

A voice sparkled in her mind: *"This is the Wonder Vitamin. It gives you one day of perfect imagination. Use it well, young spy."*

Lily's heart raced. Perfect imagination? For a curious spy like her, this was the greatest treasure ever! But then she thought of her friend Emma, who had been sad because her grandmother was in the hospital. Emma missed her terribly.

Lily looked at the glowing vitamin, then at the pyramid, then at Emma's house next door. The truest spies, she realized, used their powers to help others.

She wrapped the vitamin in a handkerchief and hurried to Emma's house. "Emma! Look what I found!"

Together, they took the Wonder Vitamin. Suddenly, the backyard transformed. Emma's grandmother appeared, made of golden light, telling stories and dancing. They flew on paper airplanes to Mars and back, discovered candy kingdoms in clouds, and made friends with a talking squirrel.

That evening, the magic faded. But Emma was smiling for the first time in weeks.

"You're the best spy ever," Emma said, hugging her friend.

Lily returned the golden pyramid to its hiding spot. Some secrets were worth keeping—especially the magic of friendship.
