The Secret Pyramid of Summer

Lily pushed through the tall grass, her glove ready. Today was the best day of summer—baseball day with her best friends! But when she reached their secret field behind the old oak tree, something magical waited.

In the middle of the dusty diamond stood a pyramid. Not just any pyramid—it was made of hundreds of shiny baseballs, stacked perfectly in the golden sunshine. They glowed like tiny treasure moons.

"Finally!" whispered a voice. Lily's friend Mateo popped out from behind the baseball pyramid, wearing his father's oversized sunglasses and a homemade cape made from a bath towel. "I knew you'd come. We have a mission!"

Maya, their other best friend, giggled as she dropped to her knees and pretended to scan the ground with an old transistor radio. "Agent Mateo, Agent Lily—my spy-detective senses are tingling! This pyramid is a message from the Baseball Guardians!"

Lily's eyes widened. The Guardians were legendary creatures who left magical gifts for kind kids. Last summer, they'd left a never-ending bag of marbles. "What's the message?" she asked, her heart beating fast.

Mateo pointed to the top of the pyramid. "The treasure is hidden inside. But only the truest friends can open it."

The three friends held hands and touched the pyramid together. *CRACK!* A baseball rolled away from the bottom, revealing a small wooden box. Inside lay three silver bracelets, each with a tiny baseball charm.

"These are friendship bracelets," Maya whispered. "From the Guardians."

They slipped them on, and suddenly the pyramid shimmered and vanished, leaving only their regular baseball field behind. But on their wrists, the silver charms caught the sunlight, sparkling with magic.

"We're not just friends anymore," Mateo said, grinning. "We're a team. Like the Guardians said—true friends stick together, no matter what."

That afternoon, they played their best game ever. And whenever they looked at their matching bracelets, they remembered: friendship is the greatest treasure of all.
