The Secret Pyramid Keeper

Lily discovered the mysterious pyramid in her grandmother's attic, nestled between dusty boxes and old photographs. It was small enough to fit in her palm, glowing with a soft amber light that seemed to pulse like a tiny heartbeat. The moment she touched it, strange symbols appeared along its golden sides.

Her grandfather had been a spy before he passed away, and Lily often imagined him having adventures like the ones in her storybooks. "If only I could have an adventure," she whispered.

The pyramid hummed in her hand, and suddenly her iPhone, which she'd brought to play games, began to beep wildly. An app she'd never seen before opened on its screen, displaying the pyramid's symbols translating into English: *The Guardian wakes at midnight.*

That night, Lily crept downstairs as her clock struck twelve. In the moonlight streaming through the window, she saw movement in the garden. What she thought was a zombie—stumbling and slow—emerged from behind the old oak tree. Lily's heart raced, but she remembered her grandfather's words: "Bravery isn't not being scared. It's being scared and doing the right thing anyway."

The figure stepped into the light. It wasn't a zombie at all, but an ancient guardian whose heavy robes were covered in moss and earth. He looked exhausted, as if he'd been walking for a thousand years.

"You woke me," he said in a voice like dry leaves rustling. "The pyramid chose you."

Behind him, the constellation Taurus—the bull—shone brightly in the night sky. The guardian pointed upward. "The Great Bull has watched over this pyramid since ancient Egypt. It holds magic that keeps children's dreams safe. But it needs a new keeper."

Lily's eyes widened. "Me?"

"You have courage in your heart," the guardian smiled, and though his face was lined with age, his kindness made him beautiful. "The pyramid will show you the dreams of children everywhere. Your job is simple: believe in them."

He pressed his weathered hand against hers, and the pyramid's light flared brilliantly. The guardian's form dissolved into thousands of glowing fireflies that drifted upward toward the bull constellation, joining the stars.

The pyramid still sits on Lily's nightstand, and every night, she uses her iPhone to document the dreams it shows her—flying children, talking animals, impossible feats of bravery. She's no ordinary girl anymore. She's a secret keeper of magic, a guardian of wonder, and protector of the belief that anything is possible if you dare to dream.
