The Secret Pyramid in the Garden
Luna's goldfish, Sparkle, was not an ordinary fish. While most goldfish just swam in circles, Sparkle would press his nose against the glass and wink at Luna when she did her homework. One Tuesday afternoon, something magical happened.
Sparkle floated out of his bowl and landed on Luna's desk, splashing tiny droplets that turned into glitter.
"Luna," the goldfish whispered, "follow Buster. He's found something wonderful!"
Luna's fluffy golden dog, Buster, was already scratching at the back door, his tail wagging like a metronome. Outside, beneath the old oak tree, Buster had dug up something incredible—a miniature pyramid no bigger than a shoebox, glowing with soft purple light.
"It's a pyramid!" Luna gasped, kneeling beside her faithful dog.
Sparkle flopped onto the grass and suddenly grew legs. "This," the fish announced, "is the Pyramid of Forgotten Dreams. Inside are all the wishes children gave up on."
Luna's eyes widened. "You can talk!"
"I've always been able to talk," Sparkle said. "I'm what you might call a... spy. But not a sneaky kind. I watch over children to find those who still believe in magic." Sparkle puffed out his chest. "Your imagination is stronger than anyone's, Luna. That's why the pyramid revealed itself to you."
Buster barked happily and pawed at the pyramid's tiny door.
"Only those who never stop wondering can enter," Sparkle explained.
Luna placed her hand on the pyramid. Warmth rushed through her fingers, and suddenly she could see inside—thousands of glowing bubbles floating like fireflies. Each bubble held a dream: a puppy's wish for endless treats, a child's hope for snow in summer, a teacher's secret dream of dancing with stars.
"These dreams aren't forgotten," Luna realized. "They're just waiting to be wished again!"
Sparkle smiled. "Exactly. The magic never leaves. It just needs someone who believes."
That night, Luna made a new wish—that every child would remember their dreams are never truly gone. Sparkle swam back into his bowl, Buster curled up at the foot of her bed, and the pyramid glowed softly under the oak tree, waiting for the next dreamer who still believed in magic.
And somewhere, deep inside its glowing chambers, a brand new bubble appeared—shaped like a fish with legs, a loyal dog, and a girl who understood that the most powerful magic is simply never stopping to wonder.
