The Secret Pyramid Garden
Max loved baseball more than anything. Every day after school, he and his best friend Mia would practice in the park. But Max always felt too small to hit the ball far enough.
One Saturday, while visiting his grandmother, Max wandered into her vegetable garden. Something sparkled near the spinach patch. He knelt down and gasped. There, nestled between the green leaves, stood a tiny golden pyramid no bigger than his thumb!
"That's been in our family for generations," Grandma said, appearing behind him. "It's a magic pyramid. It makes the spinach growing near it special."
"Special?" Max asked, eyes wide.
"This spinach has a secret vitamin," Grandma whispered. "It's called Courage-V. But remember, Max, magic only works if you believe in yourself."
That afternoon, Max harvested some magical spinach. Grandma made a delicious salad, and Max felt brave as he ate every bite. When he met Mia at the baseball field, something amazing happened. He swung the bat, and the ball soared over the fence!
"You did it!" Mia cheered. "Now teach me your secret!"
Max shared the magical spinach with Mia. She ate it and smiled. But when she stepped up to bat, the ball barely rolled past the pitcher's mound.
"It's not working for me," Mia said sadly.
Max thought about Grandma's words. "Wait, Mia. I think the magic wasn't in the spinach. The magic was... believing I could do it. You need to believe too!"
Mia closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "I can hit that ball far. I know I can."
She swung with all her might, and the baseball flew across the sky like a shooting star!
"We did it together!" Mia shouted, hugging Max.
Grandma's pyramid garden had taught them both something wonderful. The real magic wasn't in some secret vitamin. True courage comes from believing in yourself and having friends who believe in you too. And that's the most powerful magic of all.
