The Secret Pyramid Door

Mia was helping her grandmother stock shelves at the tiny grocery store when she noticed something strange. Behind the dusty cans of soup, the wall shimmered like sunlight on water.

Curious, she pushed the cans aside and found a golden door shaped like a triangle. When she touched it, the door swung open to reveal a magnificent pyramid made entirely of crystal. Inside, everything glowed with soft, rainbow light.

"Welcome!" cried a cheerful girl with bright orange skin and green leaves for hair. "I'm Princess Orange, and this is the Food Kingdom! We need your help."

Mia stepped inside, her eyes wide. "What's wrong?"

Princess Orange pointed to a throne at the pyramid's center. An old king sat there, looking weak and tired. "My father, King Papaya, has lost his glow," she explained. "The only thing that can help him is the magical spinach that grows at the very top of the pyramid. But nobody can reach it!"

Mia looked up. Far above them, at the pyramid's peak, emerald leaves sparkled like stars.

"I'll try!" Mia said bravely.

She climbed step after step, her fingers gripping the crystal. Higher and higher she went, until her arms ached and her breath came fast. But she didn't give up.

Finally, she reached the top. There grew the most beautiful spinach she had ever seen—each leaf shimmered with golden light. She picked one carefully and made her way back down.

When King Papaya ate the magical leaf, color flooded back into his cheeks. "You've saved me!" he said joyfully. "And you've taught me something important—we all need help sometimes, even kings."

He placed a crown of leaves on Mia's head. "This spinach contains a special vitamin—the vitamin of courage. You already have it inside you."

Mia hugged her new friends goodbye and stepped back through the golden door. The grocery store looked just the same, but somehow, everything seemed brighter now.

That night, Mia ate her dinner with a smile. Even the spinach on her plate seemed to sparkle just a little bit, reminding her of the secret kingdom and the courage she never knew she had.
