The Secret Pool Party

Lily loved the old pool behind her house. It wasn't just any pool — it shimmered with rainbow colors when the sun hit it just right. Every summer afternoon, she'd sneak there to cool off and dream.

One day, her best friend Marcus showed up with his baseball glove. "Want to play catch?" he asked, bouncing the ball.

Lily nodded, but as she reached for the ball, something strange happened. The baseball began to glow! It floated toward the pool and dropped in with a soft splash.

"Whoa!" Marcus gasped.

They peered into the water. The pool wasn't filled with water anymore — it was filled with tiny, sparkling lights! And there, floating in the middle, was the baseball. But it had changed. Now it looked like a giant glowing vitamin.

"That's the weirdest thing I've ever seen," Lily whispered.

Suddenly, a little creature popped up from the lights. It was no bigger than a thumb, with silver skin and enormous eyes.

"Thank you!" the creature squeaked. "I'm a spy from the Star Kingdom, and I was stuck in that baseball for three whole days!"

Lily and Marcus stared.

"You're... a spy?" Marcus asked.

"Yes!" The creature puffed out its tiny chest. "I spy on the Grumpy Goblins to keep my kingdom safe. But I got caught!" It pointed at the glowing vitamin. "That's my power source. Without it, I can't fly home."

The vitamin-ball drifted toward the edge. The creature grabbed it and began to shine brightly.

"You saved me!" the spy cheered. "For your kindness, I give you each a wish."

Lily thought hard. "I wish for our pool to always be magical and full of fun."

"And I wish," Marcus grinned, "for the best baseball season ever!"

The spy winked. "Done!" With a *whoosh*, it shot into the sky like a shooting star.

The pool rippled. Now, whenever Lily and Marcus swam there, the water would tickle them with tiny bubbles. And that summer? Marcus's baseball team won every single game.

But the best gift was the secret they shared — the memory of the day they learned that even ordinary places can hold extraordinary magic, especially when you have a friend by your side.
