The Secret Pool of Wishes
Lily discovered the hidden pool behind the old oak tree on a sparkling Tuesday morning. The water shimmered with rainbow colors, and tiny silver fish darted beneath the surface like living stars.
"I spy something magical," whispered a voice. Lily jumped! A friendly bull with golden horns and emerald-green fur stepped out from the bushes. His name was Barnaby, and he was the most gentle bull anyone could ever meet.
"Are you a friend?" Lily asked, her eyes wide with wonder.
"The best friend you'll ever have," Barnaby said with a wink. "This pool grants wishes, but only to those with pure hearts."
Lily peered into the water and gasped. The pool showed not her reflection, but her grandmother's garden, where flowers bloomed even in winter. "I wish I could see Grandma again," she whispered.
The water swirled like a whirlpool of glitter. Suddenly, silly zombie bunnies hopped out! They weren't scary at all – they wore tiny top hats and danced the cha-cha. Lily laughed so hard she fell on the soft grass.
"Your wish isn't for things," Barnaby said wisely. "It's for love. And love always finds a way."
The zombie bunnies formed a circle around the pool, their floppy ears bouncing to an invisible song. One by one, they hopped into the magical water, and with each splash, the pool grew brighter and warmer.
Then, in the center of the pool, an image appeared. It was Grandma, planting seeds in her garden! She waved, and Lily could almost smell the fresh earth and blooming roses.
"The pool doesn't bring people back," Barnaby explained gently. "It helps you remember them with joy, not sadness. Every time you visit, you'll see her smile again."
Lily hugged Barnaby's fuzzy neck. "Thank you, friend."
From that day on, Lily became a secret spy of magic. She visited the pool often, watching the zombie bunnies dance and seeing Grandma's garden bloom in the water. She learned that wishes come true in unexpected ways, and that the best magic is the kind you share with friends.
And sometimes, if you look closely behind old oak trees, you might just find a bull with golden horns waiting to show you that magic is real – especially when you need it most.
