The Secret Pool of Starlight
Lily loved running through the meadow behind her house, especially on golden afternoons when the sun painted everything yellow. But today, something sparkled in the distance, calling to her like a whisper.
She followed the glitter to a hidden pool she'd never seen before. Its water wasn't blue like normal pools—it shimmered with rainbow colors, as if someone had spilled liquid stars across the surface.
"Are you coming in?" a small voice said.
Lily jumped! A tiny turtle wearing a monocle popped his head from the water. "I'm Sheldon. I'm the pool's keeper. And you've found the Magic Pool of Dreams!"
"Magic?" Lily whispered, eyes wide.
"Jump in and see!" Sheldon said. "But promise me this—whatever special power you receive, you must use it to help others. That's the pool's rule."
Lily slipped into the warm, glowing water. As she started swimming, something magical happened. She could see wishes floating in the water like glowing bubbles! A boy's wish for a friend. A grandmother's wish to remember her favorite song. A puppy's wish to find its way home.
"I can see dreams!" Lily gasped.
"You're now a Dream Spy," Sheldon explained. "You can see what people need most in their hearts."
The next day, Lily used her new gift. She sat next to the lonely boy at school and shared her favorite comics. She sang old songs with the grandmother who lived alone. She followed the puppy's wish-bubble until she found its worried owner.
"Helping others feels... wonderful!" Lily told Sheldon that evening, returning to the pool.
"Exactly!" Sheldon smiled. "You know what sunshine gives plants?"
"Vitamin D?" Lily guessed from science class.
"Yes! And helping others gives your heart something even better—Vitamin K for Kindness! It makes your heart grow stronger every day."
Lily laughed and splashed into the rainbow water. She wasn't just running through meadows anymore. She was swimming through dreams, making them come true, one wish at a time.
And every night, she fell asleep with a glowing heart, full of Vitamin K, ready for tomorrow's adventures.
