The Secret Pool of Magic
Lily loved helping her grandmother in the garden, especially near the old palm tree that towered over everything else. Grandma said the tree was special—it had been there for over a hundred years, and some people said it could make wishes come true.
One hot afternoon, while Lily was picking fresh spinach for dinner, she noticed something strange behind the palm tree. A sparkling blue pool had appeared out of nowhere! The water shimmered like liquid diamonds, and tiny stars seemed to dance across its surface.
Lily set down her spinach basket and stepped closer. As she leaned over the water, she saw something amazing—her reflection winked at her!
"Hello!" called a voice. But it wasn't Lily's voice. It came from the water!
Out popped a tiny green frog wearing a golden crown. "I'm Prince Froggly," he announced. "This is the Magic Pool of Imagination. Whatever you picture in your mind becomes real here."
Lily's eyes grew wide. "Really?"
"Try it!" Prince Froggly said.
Lily thought hard about her favorite thing—spinach! She loved how spinach made her strong, just like the superheroes on TV. Suddenly, the pool began to bubble and swirl. Green leaves floated up from the water, but they weren't ordinary spinach leaves. They glowed with emerald light!
When Lily touched one, she felt energy rush through her. She could jump higher, run faster, and even see better than before.
"Wow!" she cried. "But wait—I should share this."
Lily ran home and brought back all her friends. Each child thought of something wonderful. One imagined beautiful flowers, another dreamed up butterfly wings, and a shy boy named Tommy wished for courage. The pool granted every wish!
But the most magical thing happened when they held hands around the pool. The palm tree began to glow, and its leaves dropped tiny seeds into their palms.
"Plant these," Prince Froggly said. "Share the magic."
The children planted the seeds everywhere. Soon, their whole neighborhood was full of magical pools and glowing plants. People were kinder, dreams were bigger, and everyone remembered the most important lesson of all.
"What's that?" asked Tommy, who wasn't shy anymore.
Lily smiled. "Magic is best when you share it."
And every day after that, Lily and her friends would gather by the palm tree, share their spinach sandwiches, and make new magic together.
