The Secret Pool of Dreams

Lily discovered the magic on the hottest day of summer. Behind her grandmother's old shed, hidden by overgrown vines, was a shimmering blue pool she'd never seen before.

The water wasn't like any water Lily had known. It sparkled with tiny rainbow bubbles that hummed a soft melody. When she dipped her toe in, the pool whispered her name.

"Lily... come play..."

She jumped in— Splash!— and sank slowly into the most magical place imaginable. An underwater kingdom stretched before her, with castles made of pearl and schools of fish that sang like choirs.

A tiny blue dolphin with golden fins swam up to her.

"I'm Finn!" the dolphin squeaked. "Will you be my friend?"

"Yes!" Lily bubbled. "But how do I breathe?"

Finn giggled. "Magic water! Now come with me! We have a mystery to solve!"

They swam past crystal gardens until Finn stopped at something amazing—a golden pyramid standing on the ocean floor, glowing with mysterious light.

"This is the Pyramid of Wishes," Finn explained. "It grants one wish to true friends who work together. But nobody has ever solved its riddle."

An inscription appeared: *What connects all hearts, flows like a river, and never runs dry?*

Lily thought hard. Then she noticed something strange near the pyramid's top—a thick silver cable stretching upward into the distance beyond.

"What's that cable?" she asked.

Finn followed her gaze. "Nobody knows where it leads. Some say it goes all the way to the moon!"

Lily's eyes widened. "The answer! It's LOVE!"

The pyramid blazed with golden light. "Correct," it boomed. "Love connects all hearts, flows through friendship, and never runs dry. Your wish?"

Lily and Finn looked at each other and said together, "We wish we could visit each other anytime!"

Suddenly, matching silver friendship bracelets appeared on their wrists, each with a tiny cable connecting them to each other, no matter how far apart they were.

"Thank you for being my friend," Finn said.

"Best friends forever," Lily smiled.

When she returned to her grandmother's yard, the pool had disappeared. But on her wrist gleamed a silver bracelet—the same one from Finn. And every night, she could hear dolphin songs through her window, carried by magic across an invisible cable of friendship that would never break.
