The Secret Pool Behind the Palm
Lily loved exploring behind her house. One hot afternoon, she discovered something magical — a giant **palm** tree she'd never noticed before. Its fronds whispered secrets in the breeze.
She pushed through the leaves and gasped. A crystal-clear pool of **water** sparkled in the sunlight. But what amazed her most was who was drinking from it.
A massive brown **bull** with golden horns looked up at her. Instead of charging, he nodded kindly. Then a huge black **bear** emerged from the shadows, carrying a basket of berries on her head like a hat.
"Welcome, little one," said the bear in a voice like honey and thunder. "We've been waiting for someone pure of heart to find our secret pool."
The bull stepped forward. "This water gives courage," he said softly. "And this palm tree grants wishes to those who are brave enough to dream."
Lily's eyes widened. "You can talk!"
"We can," the bear smiled. "But only to children who still believe in magic. What is your wish, dear one?"
Lily thought hard. She could wish for anything — toys, candy, fame. But she looked at her new friends and knew what mattered most.
"I wish that everyone could have friends as kind as you," she said.
The palm tree's fronds shimmered. A single golden leaf drifted down and touched Lily's forehead.
"Granted," whispered the tree. "You have found the true magic — kindness creates more kindness."
The bull and bear hugged her gently, and from that day on, Lily never felt lonely again. Sometimes, if you believe deeply enough, magic finds you. And sometimes, the real magic is simply choosing to be kind.
