The Secret of Zombie Willow
Lily was the best **spy** in Oakwood Elementary. At least, that's what she told herself every morning while adjusting her special detective badge. She had curly brown **hair** that bounced when she walked, and eyes that noticed everything.
One Tuesday, Lily spotted something strange behind the old willow tree. A small figure shuffled along, arms stretched forward, making a soft moaning sound. Lily gasped—a **zombie**!
But this wasn't like the monsters in her brother's video games. As Lily crept closer (the best spies always investigate), she saw it was just Mr. Puddlekins, the class guinea pig, waddling strangely in the grass.
"Oh no, Mr. Puddlekins!" Lily knelt beside him. He looked tired. His water bottle in the classroom was empty—that was the problem! Guinea pigs need fresh **water** every day.
Lily carefully picked him up and rushed inside. Her mom was a veterinarian and knew exactly what to do. "He's dehydrated," Mom said, handing Lily a small dropper filled with liquid. "This special **vitamin** mixture will help him feel better."
Lily fed Mr. Puddlekins the drops, then gave him a bowl of fresh lettuce and water. Within an hour, the little guinea pig was hopping around happily again, his whiskers twitching with joy.
The next day at school, Lily's teacher Mrs. Green announced that Mr. Puddlekins had escaped overnight. "But he seems perfectly healthy now!" she said, surprised.
Lily smiled, keeping her secret. Being a good spy meant knowing when to help—and when to stay quiet. She had saved the day, and that was the best adventure of all.
Sometimes, she realized, the scariest problems just needed someone who cared enough to solve them.
