The Secret of the Starlight Pool
Lily loved the old swimming pool at the bottom of her garden. Most adults thought it was just a broken, mossy pond, but Lily knew better. Every evening at twilight, the water shimmered with tiny stars.
One warm summer night, a strange boy appeared near the pool. He had silver hair that glowed softly and carried a mysterious racquet.
"I'm Orion," he said with a grin. "Want to learn padel? It's the most magical game in the universe."
Lily had never played, but Orion taught her happily. They hit a glowing ball back and forth across an invisible net. With every hit, the ball left trails of rainbow sparkles.
"Why does the pool sparkle?" Lily asked between shots.
Orion looked around carefully. "I shouldn't tell you... but you seem trustworthy. I'm actually a secret agent from the Star Kingdom. Each night, I collect fallen stars from your pool before they fade away. These stars power the dreams of children everywhere."
Lily's eyes widened. "You're a spy! A magical spy!"
"Shh!" Orion laughed. "I need your help. Tonight, three special stars fell — the Friendship Star, the Courage Star, and the Wonder Star. They're hiding somewhere in this pool."
Together, they waded into the warm water. Lily felt the stars twinkling around her ankles. She spotted a blue glow under a lily pad and reached down carefully.
"The Friendship Star!" Orion cheered. "Now children will dream of playing together."
They found the other stars too, each more beautiful than the last. When they finished, Orion pressed something into Lily's hand — a small stone that glowed like a tiny moon.
"For my new friend and secret helper," Orion said. "Whenever you feel lonely, hold this stone, and remember: magic exists for those with wonder in their hearts."
Lily watched Orion vanish into the night sky, carrying the stars home. From then on, every time she saw her pool twinkle, she smiled. She wasn't just a girl who liked swimming — she was a secret keeper of the stars, a helper of dreams, and a true friend to the magical world hiding just beyond her garden.
