The Secret of the Star Pyramid
Leo loved building pyramids. Every Saturday, he would stack his wooden blocks into perfect triangle shapes, reaching toward the ceiling like miniature mountains. But this pyramid was different—it glowed.
"Whoa," Leo whispered. His pyramid of golden blocks was shimmering like a captured star. Suddenly, the tiniest bull he had ever seen trotted out from inside the glowing pyramid. It was no bigger than his thumb, with silver hooves and fur that sparkled like moonlight.
"Hello!" said the tiny bull. "I'm Taurus, and I need your help. I'm lost from my home in the sky."
Leo's eyes grew wide. "You're from the stars?"
"From the constellation!" Taurus explained sadly. "I fell during the meteor shower, and now I can't fly back up alone. The magic pyramid brought me here, but only true friendship can send me home."
Leo thought hard. He loved adventures, and helping a magical star-bull sounded like the best adventure ever. "I have an idea! My grandma says Taurus is one of the brightest constellations. We just need to find you in the sky!"
But there was a problem. They couldn't just look up—they needed to be sneaky about it. "We'll have to be sky spies!" Leo announced, grabbing his toy telescope. "We'll search secretly so no one notices our mission."
All night, Leo and Taurus took turns being the spy. When Leo looked through the telescope, he saw Taurus's constellation flickering lonely and incomplete without its brightest star.
"I see your home!" Leo called excitedly. "The other stars are waiting for you!"
Taurus's silver hooves danced happily. "I knew you'd find it! Now, hold my hoof and make a wish with all your heart."
Leo closed his eyes and wished with everything he had—wished for his new friend to go home, wished their friendship would last forever, wished that magic was real. The golden pyramid began to glow brighter and brighter, filling his room with starlight.
When Leo opened his eyes, Taurus was gone. But high in the sky, the constellation Taurus twinkled brighter than ever before, as if waving goodnight.
On Leo's desk sat the golden pyramid, now ordinary wooden blocks again. But Leo knew better. Magic was real, and somewhere among the stars, his friend was watching over him.
That night, Leo fell asleep smiling. Sometimes the best adventures aren't the ones you find—they're the ones that find you, when you're brave enough to be a friend and curious enough to spy a little magic hiding in plain sight.
