The Secret of the Palm Garden

Luna was a little mermaid who loved swimming more than anything in the Seven Seas. Every morning, she'd dive through coral caves and dance with schools of rainbow fish. But there was one place her mother warned her never to go—the Shadow Garden, where the zombies lived.

"They're scary and green," Mama said. "They stumble around and never speak."

One day, Luna's best friend, a clownfish named Fin, got stuck in a tangle of seaweed near the Shadow Garden. Luna knew she had to help.

As she swam closer, something magical happened. The zombies weren't scary at all—they were kind! Each zombie was carefully tending to beautiful palm trees that glowed with soft blue light. Their green skin sparkled like emeralds in the sunlight that filtered through the water.

"Hello?" Luna called out softly.

One zombie looked up. He had gentle eyes and a shy smile. His name was Zed, and he spoke in a whisper, like shells rubbing together.

"We're not scary," Zed explained. "We're guardians. These palm trees grow magical spinach that heals sick fish and protects coral reefs."

Luna gasped. She'd never heard of magical spinach!

Zed showed her how the spinach leaves shimmered with healing powers. When Fin was freed from the seaweed, Zed gave him a small spinach leaf. Fin nibbled it—and suddenly his injured tail was healed!

"Thank you!" Luna cheered. She realized something important: sometimes things that seem scary are actually wonderful—you just have to be brave enough to learn the truth.

From that day on, Luna visited her zombie friends often. She learned that being different didn't mean being dangerous. And together, they swamed side by side, caring for the ocean and sharing its magic with all creatures.

The moral? Never judge someone by how they look. Friendship blooms in the most unexpected places—even in a shadowy garden where palm trees grow magical spinach.
