The Secret of the Orange Pyramid
Lily loved swimming in the crystal-blue lake behind her house. Every summer afternoon, she would dive into the cool water, feeling like she was flying through liquid diamonds. One day, while swimming near the old willow tree, something caught her eye.
Deep beneath the rippling water glowed an orange light. Lily took a deep breath and dove deeper than she ever had before. There, resting on a bed of smooth pebbles, was a tiny pyramid made of brilliant orange crystal. It pulsed with warmth, even in the cold water.
When Lily surfaced, gasping for air, she saw another girl on the shore, watching her with wide eyes.
"I saw the light," the girl said. "My name's Mia. I've been running all over these woods looking for where the orange glow comes from every sunset."
Lily held up the pyramid. Water dripped from its glowing facets. "I think this is what you're looking for."
Mia's eyes sparkled. "That's the Legend Pyramid! My grandmother told me stories about it. She said it appears only to true friends who work together."
The pyramid suddenly floated from Lily's hands and hovered between them. A beam of orange light connected both girls, and in that moment, they understood what they had to do.
"Where does it want us to go?" Lily asked.
Mia pointed to the hill beyond the lake. "To the top! I've been running up there every day, but nothing ever happened."
Together, with the orange pyramid lighting their way, they climbed the grassy hill. At the summit, the pyramid shot into the sky and exploded into hundreds of orange butterflies that danced around them in the sunset.
"True friends see magic together," a voice whispered on the wind.
From that day on, Lily and Mia were inseparable. They discovered that the best magic wasn't in finding treasures—it was in sharing adventures with a friend.
