The Secret of the Orange Pyramid
Oliver was a curious boy who hated vegetables. Especially spinach. "It's like eating leaves from the yard!" he'd complain, pushing his plate away.
One afternoon, while running through Grandma's garden, Oliver spotted something glowing near the pumpkin patch. It was a tiny pyramid, bright orange like sunset, no bigger than his thumb.
"The Orange Pyramid of Dreams," whispered Grandma, appearing beside him. "It grants one wish to those who are brave enough."
Oliver's eyes widened. "Any wish?"
"But first," Grandma said, smiling, "you must complete three challenges. Are you ready?"
Oliver nodded eagerly.
"First," Grandma handed him a bowl of fresh spinach from her garden, "you must finish this without complaining. It will give you the strength of ten tigers."
Oliver took a deep breath and ate the spinach. To his surprise, it tasted sweet and crisp, like magic rainbows in his mouth. Suddenly, he felt light as a feather!
"Now," Grandma pointed to the old pond, "you must swim across to the other side and back."
Oliver jumped into the water. But instead of sinking, he found himself swimming faster than a fish! The water sparkled around him like diamonds. He zoomed across the pond and back in seconds.
"One last challenge," Grandma said. "You must run around the garden three times, counting every orange tree you pass."
Oliver took off running, his feet barely touching the grass. The wind sang through his hair like tiny bells. "One, two, three, four, five!" he counted, his voice full of joy.
When Oliver finished, the orange pyramid began to glow brighter than ever. A voice echoed from inside: "You have shown courage, tried new things, and counted with joy. What is your wish?"
Oliver thought carefully. "I wish that every kid could discover how wonderful vegetables can be, just like I did."
The pyramid flashed golden light, and suddenly, Oliver knew his wish had come true. From that day on, every time he ate spinach, he remembered his magical adventure.
And whenever he saw an orange, he smiled, knowing that magic lives in the most unexpected places — even in vegetables.
