The Secret of the Orange Pool

Lily and Jake loved to play spy. Every Saturday, they'd sneak around the garden with toy binoculars, whispering secret codes and making notes in their detective notebooks. But nothing exciting ever happened in their ordinary backyard.

Until the day they discovered the magical pool behind the old oak tree.

It wasn't a regular swimming pool. This pool glowed with the softest orange light, like a piece of the sun had fallen to earth. Lily leaned closer, her spy notebook ready. The water didn't splash like normal water—it rippled like silk, and tiny sparks floated above it like friendly fireflies.

"What do you spy, Agent Lily?" Jake whispered, adjusting his fake mustache.

"I spy... something strange!" Lily gasped.

From the orange water, a figure slowly emerged. It moved with floppy arms and wobbly legs, dripping with glowing orange droplets. It looked like a zombie, but not a scary one—more like a confused, wet zombie who had forgotten how to walk properly.

The zombie-thing blinked at them with big, friendly eyes and let out a tiny squeak.

"Is it... a monster?" Jake asked, hiding behind his notebook.

But Lily's spy instincts told her something different. This creature wasn't dangerous. It was lost.

The zombie pointed at the orange pool and made sad, gurgling sounds. Then it tried to climb back in, but its floppy arms got tangled.

"It needs help!" Lily realized. She grabbed its slimy hand. Jake grabbed the other. Together, they helped the clumsy creature back into its magical orange home.

The water sparkled brighter. The zombie did a happy underwater dance, leaving orange ripples that spelled out: THANK YOU.

"We didn't need spy gear today," Jake laughed. "We just needed to be kind."

From that day on, Lily and Jake visited their orange pool friend every weekend. They learned that some things that seem strange or scary just need a little help—and that's the best secret any spy could ever discover.
