The Secret of Starlight Pond

In a cozy forest clearing, there lived a clever little fox named Penny. She had soft orange fur and a very big dream — she wanted to be a spy! Penny practiced every day, sneaking quietly through leaves and hiding behind mushrooms.

One sunny morning, Penny was on a secret mission when she heard splashing. She peeked through the tall grass and saw something amazing. A golden retriever named Barnaby was swimming in Starlight Pond! But Barnaby wasn't just swimming. He was... glowing! Tiny sparkles danced around his fur like captured fireflies.

"Are you a magic dog?" Penny asked, forgetting all about being a spy.

Barnaby laughed and paddled to shore. "No silly! The pond is magic. Every hundred years, for one whole day, the water gives wishes to anyone swimming here."

Penny's tail twitched with excitement. "What did you wish for?"

"I wished for a friend who likes adventures," Barnaby said happily.
