The Secret Inside the Vitamin

Biscuit was a golden retriever with ears like fluffy pancakes and a tail that never stopped wagging. But every morning, his human Emma held out a small orange tablet and said, 'Time for your vitamin, Biscuit!'

Biscuit HATED vitamins. They smelled like oranges, not like bacon at all. One Tuesday, instead of chewing it, Biscuit swallowed it whole—and suddenly, everything grew HUGE. The orange tablet became a magnificent orange planet beneath his paws.

'This can't be right,' Biscuit thought. He took a step and tumbled head over tail, swimming through the air like he was in a giant bowl of jelly.

'SPLASH!' He landed in a lake made of sparkling orange juice. Tiny creatures with round heads and sparkly eyes swam up to him. 'Welcome!' squeaked one. 'I'm Zing! We're the Vitamin C Squad!'

Biscuit was swimming alongside tiny orange beings who zoomed like little rockets. 'We make dogs strong!' Zing explained. 'When Emma gives you that tablet, we march inside you and chase away the sneaky germs!'

Biscuit paddled deeper. He saw orange cities with bridges made of citrus pulp, schools where tiny vitamins learned to fight colds, and gardens where sunshine grew into extra power.

'You're not yucky at all!' Biscuit barked happily. 'You're like tiny superheroes!'

A bell chimed—POM POM POM—and Zing gasped. 'Time for us to go to work! Quick, swim to the surface!'

Biscuit kicked his legs, swimming faster and faster until—POOF! He was back on Emma's kitchen rug, Emma smiling down at him. 'Good boy!'

That night, Biscuit dreamed of orange oceans and tiny friends. The next morning, when Emma held out his vitamin, Biscuit didn't hide. He gobbled it up with pride.

'What got into you?' Emma laughed, scratching his ears.

Biscuit just wagged his tail. If only she knew that every morning, he swallowed a whole army of tiny orange friends, ready to make him strong.

Sometimes the best adventures, Biscuit discovered, come in the smallest packages—even the ones that taste like oranges instead of bacon.
