The Secret Garden Spy

Lily loved visiting her grandmother's magical garden. Every Saturday, she would peek through the wooden fence, playing her favorite game—being a secret spy. She'd make notes about the flowers and trees in her tiny notebook.

One sunny morning, Lily spotted something unusual. Behind the big orange tree stood a small creature with fuzzy green skin and one bright eye. It wasn't scary at all—it was a garden zombie!

"Psst!" whispered Lily. "Are you a real zombie?"

The creature shook its head. "I'm Zee! I was born from a special papaya seed that Grandmother planted during a blue moon. I'm the garden's guardian."

Lily's eyes grew wide. "That's amazing! But why do you look like a zombie?"

"It's my disguise!" Zee giggled. "I protect the garden from grumpy bugs and mean weeds. But my magic only works if I eat my daily vitamin from the magic orange blossoms."

Lily noticed Zee looked tired. His usual green glow was fading.

"What's wrong?" she asked.

"I haven't had my vitamin in three days," Zee sighed. "The orange tree stopped blooming because someone stopped believing in magic."

Lily gasped. "That someone was me! I stopped believing when the kids at school said magic wasn't real."

Zee nodded sadly. "The garden needs friendship and belief to stay alive."

Lily closed her eyes and thought about all the wonderful things she'd seen in Grandmother's garden—the dancing flowers, the singing butterflies, and now Zee the friendly zombie. She believed with all her heart.

Suddenly, the orange tree burst into brilliant blossoms! Zee munched on three flowers, his green glow returning brighter than ever.

"Thank you, Lily!" Zee cheered. "You're not just a spy anymore—you're a garden guardian too!"

From that day on, Lily and Zee became best friends, protecting the magical garden together. And Lily learned that magic exists for those who believe in it with an open heart.
