The Secret Garden Spy

Emma pulled her floppy **hat** down low over her eyes. Today, she was a **spy** on a very important mission. Her grandmother's garden was full of mysteries, and Emma was determined to discover every single one.

She tiptoed past the roses and ducked behind the oak tree, her notebook ready. That's when she saw it—a shimmering **pyramid** made entirely of crystal, sitting right beside the garden pond. Emma had never noticed it before. The sunlight danced through its facets, creating tiny rainbows on the grass.

As she crept closer, the **water** in the pond began to bubble. Suddenly, up popped a tiny creature no bigger than Emma's thumb! It had wild, curly blue **hair** that floated around its head like seaweed, and it wore a coat made of flower petals.

"You're not very good at spying," the creature said, giggling. "I heard you crunching on leaves from all the way across the garden!"

Emma's mouth fell open. "You can talk?"

"Of course I can talk! I'm Marina, the garden sprite." She smoothed her wild blue **hair**. "And you've found my storytelling pyramid."

"Storytelling pyramid?"

Marina nodded. "Every night, the crystal catches all the beautiful moments from the garden—the butterfly visiting the rose, the robin singing to her babies, even you wearing your **spy** **hat** and sneaking around. Then it projects them as stories for anyone who believes in magic."

Emma pressed her face close to the crystal pyramid. Inside, she saw tiny moving pictures—grandma planting seeds, a bee dancing, a caterpillar transforming.

"I've always wanted to see magic," Emma whispered.

"You don't need special eyes for magic," Marina said, splashing droplets of **water** onto Emma's hands. "You just need to look closely at the world. Every day is full of tiny miracles."

Emma thought about this. "Will you be my friend, Marina? I promise not to spy on you anymore."

"Only if you come back tomorrow," Marina said. "And bring your **hat**. It makes you look quite official!"

Emma ran home, her heart full of wonder. She had discovered the greatest secret of all: the world was magical, and she had made a friend who would help her see it, one tiny miracle at a time.
