The Secret Forest Party

Lily pushed through the tangled bushes behind her house, her golden retriever Buster bouncing beside her. Today was special—Buster's nose had discovered something magical.

"Come on, silly dog!" Lily laughed as Buster tugged her toward an ancient oak tree with a door-sized hollow at its base.

Inside, everything glowed. Mushrooms lit up like tiny lanterns. Flowers hummed soft melodies.

A sleek orange fox stepped out from behind a silver fern. "Welcome, friend!" said Fiona the fox. "We've been waiting."

"Waiting for us?" Lily whispered.

"For the Great Forest Gathering!" Fiona's tail swished with excitement. "Once every hundred years, all the animals come together. You're the first human ever invited!"

Deeper in the forest, Lily met Bruno the bear. He was enormous, with fur like chocolate clouds, but his eyes were gentle and kind.

"Don't be scared," Bruno rumbled softly. "I bake honey cakes for the party. Would you like to try one?"

The cake tasted like sunshine and stardust. As more animals arrived—rabbits with jeweled collars, owls wearing tiny spectacles, squirrels with acorns full of sparkles—Lily realized something wonderful.

These weren't just animals. They were magical guardians of the forest, and they needed her help.

"Our forest magic is fading," Fiona explained sadly. "Children stopped believing in magic. Without imagination, our home will disappear."

Lily thought of her friends at school who only played video games and never went outside.

"I'll bring them here," Lily promised. "Every single one."

Bruno's eyes twinkled. "That's the spirit! Together, we'll make the forest whole again."

As the stars came out, Lily danced with her new friends under the moonlight, knowing the best adventure was just beginning—and that magic lived wherever someone believed.
