Lily was only seven, but she knew something magical lived in her garden. Every afternoon, she sat by the pond watching her tiny goldfish, Glub, who seemed to wink at her with his golden eye.

One rainy afternoon, lightning flashed across the sky, and Lily saw something strange in her treehouse. A large brown bear was sitting there, reading a book!

"Hello," whispered Lily, brave and curious. "Are you real?"

Barnaby explained that the club needed help finding something very special—a tiny sphinx who guarded the most precious treasure of all: the gift of imagination.

Lily nodded eagerly. Together, they followed a trail of sparkling fireflies through the garden, past the old oak tree, and into a hidden grove she had never noticed before.

There, sitting on a mushroom, was the tiniest sphinx Lily had ever seen—no bigger than her hand, with wings like a butterfly and eyes that held all the colors of the rainbow.

"I've been waiting for you," the sphinx said in a voice like chimes. "The lightning showed me you would come."

Lily realized the treasure wasn't gold or jewels—it was the magic of seeing wonder everywhere. "Can I join your club?" she asked.
