The Secret Cable Car

Lily loved exploring behind her grandmother's old house. One afternoon, she found something amazing hidden in the forest—a tiny **cable** that stretched from an oak tree all the way across the babbling brook. It shimmered in the sunlight like a piece of captured rainbow.

"What are you doing?" asked a small voice. Lily jumped and turned around. A boy with messy brown **hair** and glasses stood there, watching her with curious eyes.

"I'm Lily," she said bravely. "I found this magic cable."

"I'm Ben, and I'm going to **spy** on it," he whispered conspiratorially. "Together, we can discover its secret!"

The two new friends followed the sparkling cable through the woods until they reached something breathtaking—a hidden **pool** with water so clear it looked like liquid glass. Tiny silver fish swam below, and flowers that glowed softly in purple and pink grew all around its edges.

"It's beautiful," Lily breathed.

Suddenly, a wise old turtle popped up from the water. "Welcome, young ones," he said in a voice like rustling leaves. "This is the Pool of Wishes. The magic cable leads those with pure hearts here. What do you wish for?"

Ben looked at Lily. Lily looked at Ben. They had just met, but already they felt like friends who had known each other forever.

"I wish for adventures with my new friend," Lily said.

"And I wish to never stop exploring," Ben added.

The turtle smiled. "Those are the best wishes of all—friendship and curiosity. Come back whenever you want. The magic cable will always guide you here."
