The Secret Agent of Sunshine

Lily pressed her face against the window, watching raindrops race down the glass like tiny silver tears. She wanted to play outside, but the storm had other plans.

"What's wrong, sunshine?" Mom asked, walking into the room with something small and round in her hand.

"It's boring inside," Lily sighed, but perked up when Mom showed her an orange bottle filled with colorful chewable shapes. "What are those?"

"Magic vitamins," Mom winked. "Each color gives you a different superpower."

Lily's eyes widened. She picked up her iPhone from the table and held it like a secret agent's gadget. "I'll be a spy!" she announced. "A vitamin spy on a top-secret mission to discover all the superpowers!"

"A spy?" Mom laughed. "What will you investigate?"

"The mysteries of the magic vitamins!" Lily declared, already planning her adventure. She grabbed her notebook and drew a spy map of the house, marking important locations like the kitchen (Vitamin Headquarters) and her bedroom (Secret Agent Base).

The first vitamin was orange-shaped and bright orange. Lily chewed it thoughtfully, then grabbed her iPhone to record her findings in a voice memo: "Agent Lily reporting. Orange vitamin gives me... SUPER ENERGY!" She jumped up and down, feeling strangely bouncy and ready for anything.

The red vitamin made her feel brave, like she could face monsters. The yellow one made her smile so big her cheeks hurt. The purple vitamin filled her mind with colorful dreams.

By dinner, Lily had completed her mission. She showed Mom her spy notes, drawn in colorful crayon with important discoveries circled in red.

"What's the biggest discovery, Agent Lily?" Mom asked, reading the notebook.

"The vitamins work best together," Lily said proudly. "Like how friends make each other stronger."

"That's the most important secret of all," Mom smiled. "Would you like to continue your mission tomorrow?"

Lily's iPhone pinged—a mysterious message appeared on the screen. It was from Grandma, asking if Lily wanted to be her special baking assistant for the weekend.

"A new mission!" Lily gasped. "The Cookie Conspiracy!"
