The Secret Agent Goldfish

Lily's pet goldfish Goldie wasn't like other fish. His golden scales sparkled even in the dark, and sometimes—just sometimes—Lily thought she saw him peeking at her from behind his tiny castle. But she never expected what happened one rainy Tuesday.

That afternoon, while Lily was doing her homework, Goldie swam to the front of his bowl and tapped on the glass with his nose. Tap. Tap. Tap.

"Lily," he said in a bubbly little voice. "I need your help."

Lily nearly fell off her chair! "You can talk?"

"I'm not just a goldfish," Goldie explained. "I'm a secret spy from the Kingdom of Sun-Drops. I've been watching over you, and now I need my best friend to help me on a mission."

Lily's eyes grew wide. "A spy? Like in movies?"

"Better!" Goldie swished his tail happily. "Someone has stolen the Magic Vitamin—the most powerful vitamin in all the kingdoms. It makes colors brighter, dreams sweeter, and gives everyone the power to fly! Without it, my kingdom is turning gray and sad."

Lily stood up straight. "I'll help you find it!"

Together, they searched everywhere. Lily even checked inside her cereal box! Finally, she noticed something glowing under her bed. It was a tiny, golden pill—the Magic Vitamin!

"You found it!" Goldie cheered. "Lily, you're the best detective ever."

But when Lily picked it up, her hand tingled. "Goldie... I think the vitamin wants me to take it."

"That's impossible!" Goldie said. "Only special—"

But before he could finish, Lily swallowed it. Suddenly, she began to float! Her room filled with sparkling colors, and she could hear the laughter of children from faraway lands.

"You were chosen!" Goldie exclaimed. "The Magic Vitamin picked you to protect all the magic in the world!"

From that day on, Lily and Goldie became the best of friends. They shared wonderful adventures, helping others and spreading magic wherever they went. And every night, Lily would whisper, "Thank you, Goldie, for choosing me to be your friend."

Goldie would always answer, "I didn't choose you, Lily. Magic chooses the kindest hearts."
