The Secret Agent Cat and the Baseball Mystery

Lily loved baseball. Every afternoon after school, she'd grab her glove and run to the backyard to practice pitching. But she had a secret teammate — Muffin, her fluffy orange cat.

Today was different. Lily wore her special spy sunglasses she found in Dad's drawer. "Agent Muffin," she whispered seriously. "We have a mission."

Muffin meowed and pounced on a dandelion.

The mission: find her lost baseball in the mysterious Forbidden Zone behind the garage. Legend said strange creatures lurked there.

Lily crept through tall grass, her heart pounding like a drum. Muffin followed, tail twitching with detective curiosity. Suddenly, they heard a strange sound: "Braaaains..."

Lily froze. Zombie?! In HER backyard?

She peeked around the corner. There, shuffling slowly, was a zombie! It wore a baseball jersey and moved like molasses in winter. Muffin hissed, then relaxed.

The "zombie" was her little brother Timmy, sleepwalking again! He clutched her missing baseball like it was treasure.

"Timmy!" Lily called gently. Timmy rubbed his eyes and smiled sleepily. "I dreamed I was a baseball zombie..."

Lily giggled. "Well, Agent Zombie, give me my baseball and let's play catch!"

They played until sunset, Muffin chasing every ball. That night, Lily wrote in her spy journal: "Mystery solved. Sometimes zombies are just sleepy brothers with baseball dreams."

And Muffin? He purred, dreaming of being the world's greatest baseball-playing spy cat.
