The Secret Agent Cat

Lily sat alone at recess, watching the other children play. She wished she had a friend to talk to.

Suddenly, a fluffy orange cat with bright green eyes appeared from behind the slide. The cat walked right up to Lily and dropped something shiny at her feet.

"What's this?" Lily whispered, picking up a small glowing capsule.

The cat winked at her. Then, to Lily's amazement, the cat spoke! "I'm Agent Whiskers, secret spy for the Kingdom of Kindness. That's a Courage Vitamin."

"A spy? A vitamin?" Lily gasped.

"Yes!" Agent Whiskers explained. "I've been sent to find children who need extra courage. You looked lonely, so I brought you this special vitamin from our magical kingdom."

Lily's eyes widened. "Will it really help me make friends?"

"It will give you the courage to try," the cat promised. "But the real magic comes from you. Take it, then go introduce yourself to someone."

Lily popped the glowing vitamin into her mouth. It tasted like strawberries and sunshine. Suddenly, she felt brave! She stood up and walked toward a girl reading under a tree.

"Hi, I'm Lily. What are you reading?" she asked confidently.

The girl smiled. "I'm Maya! Want to read together?"

By the time the bell rang, Lily had made her first real friend. She turned to thank Agent Whiskers, but the secret cat was gone—off on another mission to help another child discover their own courage.

From that day on, Lily never sat alone at recess again. And sometimes, when she saw a new student looking lonely, she would be the one to walk over and say hello—just like a secret spy of kindness, spreading friendship wherever she went.
