The Secret Agent Cat

Mittens was no ordinary cat. By day, she purred and napped in Mrs. Higgins' sunny window. But by night, she transformed into Secret Agent M—the most clever spy in the neighborhood.

One moonlit evening, M received her mission from the Firefly Brigade. Something strange was happening in Mr. Green's garden. The vegetables were acting... peculiar.

M crept through the fence, her whiskers twitching. There, among the carrot tops, she saw him: a little zombie bunny. But he wasn't scary at all! Instead of groaning, he was hiccupping green bubbles. Instead of hunting brains, he was hunting... vegetables.

"B-b-burp," went the zombie bunny, nibbling on a lettuce leaf. He looked sad.

Agent M approached carefully. "What's wrong, little friend?"

The zombie bunny's eyes went wide. "I was a regular bunny until I ate the wizard's experimental spinach," he explained. "Now I'm undead and I can't stop eating plants!"

M's ears perked up. Experimental spinach? That must be what the Firefly Brigade had detected!

Together, the cat spy and her new zombie friend tracked the magical spinach patch to the garden's center. The glowing green leaves pulsed with mischief.

"The wizard left this here by accident," the bunny said. "If we don't stop it, all the neighborhood pets will become plant-eating zombies!"

Agent M knew exactly what to do. She dug a hole with her powerful paws and buried the enchanted spinach deep underground, where its magic couldn't spread.

The zombie bunny's fur turned soft and brown again. "I'm me! I'm really me!" he cheered, doing happy binkies (jumps for joy).

"You were never scary," M purred. "Just misunderstood."

From that night on, Agent M had a new partner in her spy adventures. And every evening, Mrs. Higgins wondered why her cat always brought home fresh spinach from Mr. Green's garden—but she never knew it was their secret signal for "mission accomplished."
